With the movement to alert level 2 by our public health officials, in person gatherings for faith organizations are now allowed to have 50 people in attendance. Our Liturgy Committee is busy making plans for our safe return and enable us to celebrate Holy Week and the Easter Triduum in the most meaningful and inclusive way possible.
While we make arrangements, our church building will remain closed for mass until Tuesday, March 30. Weekday masses and Palm Sunday mass will be live-streamed. The church will continue to be open from 11 am until 1:00 pm daily for private prayer and adoration of the blessed sacrament. During the open period on Palm Sunday, Blessed Palm will be available to those who wish to have some to bring home.
Tuesday, March 30, the church will open for weekday mass. No registration will be required for week-day masses, contact tracing and all covid protocols will be in place. Face masks must be worn at all times when in the church building. We can no longer remove them while seated in our pew.
Registration will be required for Thursday of the Lords Supper at 7:00 pm, Good Friday Stations of the Cross at Noon, Friday of the Passion of the Lord at 3:00, Easter Vigil at 9:00pm, and Easter Sunday Resurrection of the Lord Masses at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. As we are permitted to have just 50 people in the church, we are asking parishioners to choose one celebration in Holy Week to attend in person. This will give an opportunity for as many as possible to participate in the Easter Triduum and receive Holy Communion. All gatherings of the Triduum will also be livestreamed.
Registration will take place by calling the parish office at 754-1195. Registration will be held 9am -12 noon on Monday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 30.
It has been hard for everyone to be away from the church over the last few weeks. We have all worked so hard to follow the public health orders and to keep everyone safe and are so very happy to be able to open our doors to our parishioners once again and celebrate together the most holy season of Easter.
